The brief

This UK-wide car lease company wanted to build its brand in the local area, build trust in its business and share its expertise all while boosting leads and visitors to its site. The solution? To wade in on the biggest local issue – parking.

In collaboration with a designer I created an interactive map, sharing the top parking spots across the city, listing key features of each location. The free resource helped draw traffic to the site and gave users key information in a simple and interactive way. But it wasn’t enough to just help people find the best parking spot. I penned a press release and oversaw a campaign, targeting local media outlets, building the business’s brand in the local area and positioning the team and the organisation as a trusted voice.

The result was a resource that people truly use and press coverage – in York Press, York Mix and more – that positioned the business as a trusted leader in the car leasing industry and the local community.

York car subscription provider, Flexed, releases its top parking spots in the city with interactive map

For immediate release

Flexed, the York based short-term lease and car subscription provider, has released a new interactive map pinpointing its top parking sites across the city.

The resource, which is freely available on the Flexed website, highlights 13 car parks across York and details key features of each site, such as the number of parking spaces, disabled bays, motorcycle parking, and whether residents’ permits or season tickets are available.

The map is designed to help York residents and visitors make an informed decision on where to park. The move comes after prices for many York car parks skyrocketed last year – some by as much as 500% – and look set to increase again in 2026.

“We offer short-term leasing across the UK, but we’re proud to have our home in York,” Autohorn Fleet Services Brand manager, Mark Williams. “While we can’t bring parking prices down, we wanted to share something that makes it easier for people to decide which car park is right for them.”

“We care about our community, and if people feel confident about where and when to park when visiting York, it can only help bring more business into the city.”

The interactive map is available for free on the Flexed website, alongside a quick guide to parking in York which breaks down car parks by price, opening hours, electric vehicle charging points and more.
